We keep the Voshövel feeling alive thanks to organized activities of our transformers and constantly develop it with innovation, passion and respect. Out of our responsibility for the progress of our humanity and consideration for our planet, we have drawn up a series of questions that should be used as the basis for all decisions.

Is it fair, unprejudiced and respectful? All people, regardless of their origin, religion, gender or education, are self-determined and we treat them with respect. We promote complex, unbiased views instead of drawing quick or popular conclusions.
Does it promote freedom and self-determination? All people are free in their beliefs, opinions and choice of life partner. Freedom of research is an elementary component of human progress.
Is it future-oriented for humans, animals and the earth? We consciously try to stand up for the continued existence of people, animals and plants and are committed to sustainable energy, procurement, use and disposal.

Is it financially feasible? Of course, our actions must be financially feasible within the financial means of the Landhotel and its employees.

Teamspirit at the Voshövel

We keep the Voshövel feeling alive through specifically organized Transformer activities. Transformers are employees from all departments who take care of the climate in the workplace. They ensure that we strengthen our team spirit through joint activities, get to know each other better and look in the same direction together.

At the heart of our Landhotel beats the conviction that every team member has unique talents that are just waiting to be discovered and lived. We believe in the power of diversity and that each and every one of us has the potential not only to excel in our role, but also to inspire beyond it. At Landhotel, we encourage our employees to offer courses or workshops to share their skills and passions with others. The talents not only enrich our hotel, but also strengthen the sense of community and cohesion within the team.

Social projects

Our commitment at Voshövel

Class 2000 at Brünen Primary School | Since the 2019 school year, we have been supporting the new first graders with the Class 2000 initiative. Healthy, strong and self-confident - that's how children should grow up. Class 2000, the most widespread teaching program in Germany for health promotion, addiction and violence prevention in elementary school, supports this.

Christoffel Mission for the Blind | As a kick-off campaign by our newly founded Augen-auf team, €35 per employee was donated to Christoffel Blindenmission instead of gifts in 2019. The project is called "Giving eyesight", and with this amount it is already possible to perform an operation that will enable adults to see again.

Helping the homeless in Wesel | Our contribution to the community: Twice a month, we deliver a warm meal consisting of homemade soup form our Voshövel-Kitchen and fresh bread from our organic bakery to the homeless charity in Wesel.

Future for people in South India e.V. | This association supports people in need in the particularly poor south of India by sponsoring children, senior citizens and trainees as well as building houses. We have already been able to see the impressive and committed work of the association for ourselves on site. We maintain close contact with the organization and donate regularly.

GAGU Dwarf Aid e.V. | This association is committed to social justice for the fate of disadvantaged children and their families in Sierra Leone. Among other things, the construction of the "Home of hope" children's home has created a place of residence, care and support for the poorest of the poor, especially orphans. We regularly donate money and were able to ship over 100 chairs and 40 conference tables as school equipment by container in 2021.

Orange Days

Violence against women concerns us all

The majority of our Voshövel team is female, which makes the responsibility that we also bear as a company even more visible. The Orange Days start every year on November 25 with the "International Day against Violence against Women" and then extend over two weeks, during which we draw attention to the issue every day - not only on social media - but also in the hotel itself with campaigns. We also align ourselves with the campaigns of UN WOMEN Germany and support their projects with donations.

Tree campaign

The sustainable birthday present for our employees

Instead of traditional gifts, we have decided to give our employees something sustainable that will leave a lasting impression: We plant a tree for every employee on their birthday. We are carrying out this initiative in collaboration with the organization Aktion Baum, which is committed to reforestation and the protection of forests in Germany. For us, planting a tree symbolizes our connection with nature and our responsibility for future generations. Through this gesture, we want to show our employees that they are not only part of our team, but that they can also make a contribution to environmental protection and have a positive impact on the world.
